DALTON, GA, June 1, 2007—Soft, livable color is the hallmark of Karastan’s latest introductions. Fresh-air creams, yellows, blues, greens and browns are patterned into rugs that evoke peace, while still bringing great depth and richness to a room.
Artworks Collection: Plum Blossom - Maize
The Artworks Collection from the Studio by Karastan series has been an overwhelming success. Spirited patterns, shimmery accents and incredible textural qualities lend themselves to a variety of lifestyle applications. The intense popularity of Plum Blossom—one of the most recent additions—created a desire for Plum Blossom- Maize in colors that embrace the serene beauty of yellow.
“We’re bringing more and more yellow into our palette,” says Elizabeth Miller, senior vice president of design for Karastan. “Like sunshine, yellow is a natural color that is easy to welcome indoors. It’s a neutral that pairs fabulously with trendier colors and provides a soothing foundation for furnishings and accessories.”
Rugs in the Artworks Collection are handmade of wool with specialty accent yarns that create alluring effects. Hand-carved definitions of decorative details and contrasts of cut-and-loop yarns further enhance the texture and dimension of these distinctive rugs.
Like all Artworks rugs, Plum Blossom- Maize is offered in 3.6 x 5.6, 5 x 8, 8 x 10 and 8.6 x 11.6 sizes. Estimated retail is $499 for a 5 x 8.
Sierra Mar Collection: Sedona Ivory-Limestone
Karastan encourages whole-house decorating with Sierra Mar. Included in this stylish collection are relaxed patterns in weathered, easy-to-live-with colors that work beautifully with many of Karastan’s new broadloom and roll-runner styles. New to the collection is Sedona Ivory-Limestone, which exemplifies this flexible approach. Its ivory field of palmettes and vines has a quiet level of beauty that complements today’s decorating tastes.
Like all Sierra Mar rugs, Sedona Ivory-Limestone proudly carries the Wools of New Zealand Brand and comes in eight standard sizes that range from 2.5 x 4 to 9.6 x 13.2.
Estimated retail for the Sierra Mar Collection is $899 for a 5.6 x 8.3.
