A New Breeze of Color for Karastan’s Classic Weaves and New Wovens with Casual Flair

DALTON, GA, February 19, 2010—The winds of change blow softly and naturally in Karastan’s woven introductions for 2010. Popular sisal-like weaves head into spring with fresh colors. Several of these eco-friendly carpets are crafted of sustainable and renewable Wools of New Zealand Brand wool for durability, easy care and comfort. They all have a free and breezy spirit that is both casual yet sophisticated.

Agave Reflections

Agave Reflections offers a contemporary, updated palette in one of Karastan’s all-time classic weaves. This subtle herringbone pattern has the visual characteristics of a natural sisal weave in a tailored carpet. Woven of premium, sustainable and renewable New Zealand wool, this low-level loop pile is soft underfoot, easy to care for and will maintain its fresh beauty for years. It comes in nine fresh and natural shades and coordinates with Belize Vibrations and Zanzibar Vibrations. 

Belize Vibrations

Belize Vibrations hums with punch and visual character. This low-level loop pile carpet offers a big dose of style and color: it combines two solid color yarns in a beautiful natural sisal weave. Woven of premium, sustainable and renewable New Zealand wool, Belize Vibrations is easy to maintain, will last for years and is incredibly soft. This carpet possesses subtle textural variations reminiscent of raw silk and natural linen. It is available in nine fresh and natural shades and coordinates with Agave Reflections and Zanzibar Vibrations.

Zanzibar Vibrations

Karastan first introduced its diamond block pattern with the textural characteristics of a natural sisal weave in 1992, and it has proven to be a classic. Zanzibar Vibrations recreates that timeless and stylish pattern but in a new subtle and sophisticated neutral palette of nine fresh and natural shades. This low-level loop pile carpet is woven of premium, sustainable and renewable New Zealand wool for an incredibly soft feel, tough performance and easy maintenance. It coordinates with Belize Vibrations and Agave Reflections. 

Libretto

Libretto is a luscious woven wool loop pile that sings a tune of classic beauty with a contemporary flair. Its staggered stripe pattern is transitional and fresh; subtle layers of color add a sophisticated touch. Woven of premium, sustainable and renewable New Zealand wool, this soft carpet will provide outstanding beauty and maintain its good looks for years. It is available in six contemporary shades.

Decolites

Decolites is a hip, fun woven wool loop that brings to life home offices, family rooms, or any room that can use a bit of whimsy. Modern brights punch up the palette of 13 shades, which also includes transitional favorites. Luxurious New Zealand wool and multi-hued space-dyed nylon play together in this high/low woven rib to create a carpet that has unmistakable style and outstanding performance.
